James B. Edwards is an international management accounting consultant and is the William W. Bruner Distinguished Faculty Fellow at the College of Business Administration at the University of South Carolina. He has published approximately 100 articles in professional publications and has received eight national awards for his writings. He is the author or co-author of three books and served as assistant editor of Managerial Planning magazine for five years. He currently serves as the editor of Emerging Practices in Cost Management and is the past editor of the Handbook of Cost Management, both WG&L publications. In June 2001, Dr. Edwards, along with Robert S. Kaplan, received the Lee Brummet Award for Outstanding Service and Accomplishments in Management Accounting by an Academic at the annual meeting of the IMA. His professional certificates include: certified management accountant (CMA), certified cost analyst (CCA), certificate in data processing (CDP), certified internal auditor (CIA), and certified public accountant (CPA). |
