Transfer Pricing Analyzer is designed to streamline two tasks faced by tax staff at corporations with a taxable presence in multiple jurisdictions:
- Keeping track of ever-changing transfer pricing requirements
- Ensuring that the parent company has knowledge of the compliance obligations the global group and delivers instructions to subsidiaries
TPA accomplishes this by providing you with a single, up-to-date view of transfer pricing obligations across key jurisdictions around the world, and the ability to apply such rules in the context of a single company resident in one of the jurisdictions covered.
TPA is accessed via Thomson Reuters Checkpoint®, the world’s leading online tax and accounting research service, and provides references throughout that enable Checkpoint subscribers to link to full text of relevant statues, news, and related information.
TPA provides you with five key functions:
Information Analyzer – The core of the TPA tool is a detailed information analyzer, which allows you to create a dynamic chart containing concise overviews of more than 75 transfer pricing rules covering 72
key countries. These overviews are culled from more than 1,000 tax treaties and 600 primary sources.
The information charts enable you to compare rules across multiple jurisdictions, and allows you to tailor
your research ‘on the fly’ to include only the items you need to see, or change the countries selected.
News – A convenient news feature enables a federated news approach, linking news stories on Checkpoint from a variety of sources by reference to well-known transfer pricing terms. This brings together transfer pricing-related news stories under the countries covered by TPA. It also provides the ability to search other preselected sites for additional information. The search function can be customized to search all tax news or search news by some predefined terms relevant to transfer pricing, and select the date ranges for which news should be searched.
Forms – For countries that have formal compliance requirements through the completion of forms, such forms are also included in TPA. Forms are translated into English to further speed compliance research.
Regulations – The research is backed up with translated copies of relevant regulations as well as statutory references.
Analyzer – TPA also enables you to leverage the information provided in TPA via an information management function that enables you to create and maintain transfer pricing standards for your global enterprise in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take to do so. TPA thereby enables you to create and maintain (in Excel and PDF formats) a number of regulatory reports to use for a worldwide entity structure.
